# Can we share the contacts from Contacts Pro through Outlook?

Contacts Pro does not include a built-in, one-click way to send your contacts directly to Outlook. There is no native Outlook sync, no share-to-Outlook button, and contacts are not exported as Outlook contact cards (vCard or .vcf) files.

You can still get your contacts into Outlook with a simple two-step workaround that uses the Excel export Contacts Pro does support. First you export from Contacts Pro, then you import the file into Outlook.

The supported transfer format is Excel (.xlsx). There is no native Outlook sharing and no vCard export in Contacts Pro.

# Step 1: Export your contacts from Contacts Pro

Contacts Pro lets you export your contacts to an Excel file (.xlsx). This file becomes the bridge between Contacts Pro and Outlook.

  1. 1

Follow the steps in how to export contacts from Contacts Pro to export your contacts.

  2. 2

Wait for the export email. You receive the exported .xlsx file at your registered email address once the export is complete.

  3. 3

Save the file somewhere you can find it easily.

The number of contacts you can export depends on your subscription tier. See mixed tier usage in Contacts Pro for the limits that apply to your plan.

# Step 2: Import the file into Outlook

Outlook can import contacts from a file. The exact steps depend on your version of Outlook, but the general approach is the same.

  1. 1

Open the exported .xlsx file in Excel and save a copy as CSV (Comma delimited), because Outlook usually imports contacts from a CSV file.

  2. 2

In Outlook, open the People (Contacts) area and use the Import option to import contacts from your file.

  3. 3

Map the columns to the matching Outlook contact fields if prompted, then confirm to finish the import.

For the precise import steps in your version of Outlook, refer to Microsoft help on importing contacts into Outlook, because the wording and menu locations vary between Outlook on the web, the new Outlook, and the classic desktop app.
