# Teams notifications in Gantt Chart Pro

Keep your team in the loop automatically. Gantt Chart Pro for Microsoft Teams can send a Teams notification to the people assigned to a task whenever that task is created, updated, or deleted, so no one has to reopen the tab to stay aware of changes.

Notifications are set for the whole Gantt chart, and they are available on every plan, including Free.

# Open notification settings

  1. 1

Find the Notifications button on the right side of the toolbar, above the Gantt chart, next to Settings and About.

  2. 2

Click it to open the Notifications panel.

# Configure the two toggles

The Notifications panel offers two independent toggles. Turn on either, both, or neither.

  1. 1

For Added/updated task, use the toggle to notify participants when a task is created or changed.

The toggle reads: Send a Teams notification to all participants of a new or updated task.

  2. 2

For Deleted task, use the toggle to notify participants when a task is removed.

The toggle reads: Send a Teams notification to all participants of a deleted task.

Turn on both toggles to keep everyone informed of changes, or turn one off to cut alerts your team does not need.

# Who receives a notification

Only the participants assigned to the task receive a notification. If a task has no participants, no notification is sent.

The person who made the change is excluded, so you never get notified about your own edits. The notification opens directly on the relevant Gantt tab in Microsoft Teams.

# Common questions

# Do I need to set this up for every task?

No. The two toggles apply to the whole Gantt chart. Set them once and they stay on or off for every task.

# Will I be notified about my own edits?

No. The person who performs an action is always removed from the recipient list, so you only hear about changes made by others.

# What if a task has no one assigned?

No notification is sent. Notifications are only delivered to people listed as participants on the task.
